FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION INTERNSHIP

Created by the Communication Act of 1924 the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency, directly responsible to Congress. It is charges with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, Satellite and cable in the United States and its territories. 

The internship is open to law school and graduate students with excellent academic standing, who have demonstrated an interest in a future in telecommunications. Economics majors are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Internships are the best way to get an idea of the work environment and how the field of choice would be on a day-to-day basis. This internship will be a great experience to have once joining the workforce and would open a door to more job opportunities.

HOW TO APPLY: http://fcc.gov/internships. Once having the position with an FCC internship program, you can apply for a small grant with the Brauner Foundation, Inc. 

APPLICATION FOR GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS ARE ACCEPTED ON A ROLLING BASIS. ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE ASKED TO SUPPLY TRANSCRIPTS, WRITING SAMPLES, CURRENT RESUME, AND THREE LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION IN SUPPORT OF THEIR APPLICATION.

Interep was the leading advertising and marketing firm serving the radio industry (Interep merged with Rival Katz The Only National Radio Rep Left) The Brauner Foundation, Inc. each year the Brauner Foundation awards one scholarship in memory of Zaline Sott-McShan. Ms. Scott-McShan served as a catalyst for Interep's technological leadership in the radio industry. This scholarship is awarded to candidates who have already accomplished a great deal in life. Applicants for Interep are required to be enrolled in a Marketing or Communications graduate program, and intend to pursue a career in media. Additionally, candidates will be asked to describe their needs for the scholarship funds.
